Royal Enfield Classic 500 ABS is an improved version of regular Classic 500. Lately, equipped with this next-gen feature, the powerful cruiser landed in the Indian market at the asking price of INR 1.99 lakh for the standard model that reaches to higher INR 2.10 lakhs for the top trim. With a considerable huge share in the cruiser bike segment in India, the Classic manages a die-hard fan following. Though it shares a big share, still, there are offerings from different manufacturers available in the country, which are the best options for their lovers. Here in this post, we listed products falls in similar price vicinity yet belongs to distinct genres.
Let's start with the models like the Thunderbird 500 and Thunderbird 500X roll out from the similar automaker, Royal Enfield. Caters varied styling of cruising, the mentioned models attract the price sticker of INR 1.91 lakhs and INR 1.98 lakhs respectively. While the underpinned powertrain is a shared unit among them. A 499cc, single-cylinder engine claims to generate the peak power of 27.2bhp and along with 41.3Nm of torque, is responsible for forward propelling. However, they do not anchor ABS on their wheels.
Just same as Royal Enfield bikes, there is another bike maker from America which puts a number of models in its Renegade series including, UM Renegade Classic, Mojave and Commando. With almost similar styling, these bikes have different appeal with chrome and blacked out components garnishing. While, the propelling power on three of the bikes come from a 279cc, single-cylinder engine that returns 25bhp and 23Nm of torque. The Renegade Classic that is the top variant makes you shell out INR 2 lakhs. While, tagged with the similar price tag, the Renegade Commando and Mojave cost INR 1.82 lakhs. The ABS feature is not being provided on any of the models.
Mahindra Mojo XT that caters to adventure touring segment, is also an option available at INR 1.79 lakhs. It gets power from a 295cc, single-cylinder engine with 26.5bhp and 30Nm of torque and power capability. It also lacks in safety without ABS presence.
Last but not the least, the TVS Apache RR 310 that’s the only full fairing bike from the TVS Motors, falls in the price range of Royal Enfield Classic 500 ABS, at INR 2.23 lakhs. It comes loaded with a 313cc, single-cylinder engine with 33bhp and 27.3Nm churn out. In the complete list of models, it is the only vehicle that gets the dual channel ABS as like the Classic 500 ABS.
