Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd has launched the MotoGP Edition of the 2019 Gixxer SF, at the asking price of INR 1.10 lakh (ex-sh, Delhi). It gets the Suzuki Racing Blue colour scheme inspired by brand’s MotoGP machine, GSX-RR. As similar to the earlier MotoGP edition of the Suzuki Gixxer SF, the 2019 version also receives bright blue colour, Ecstar decals and a fluorescent rim tape on the alloys.
Other than the colour scheme, no changes are observed on the bike at cosmetics and mechanical front as well. For this special colour scheme, one has to pay a premium of INR 800 over the standard Gixxer SF model. In its segment, it will take combat with the likes of models-Yamaha YZF-R15 V3 and Bajaj Pulsar 180F at the respective pricing of INR 1.40 lakh and INR 98,000 (ex-showroom, India).
Cosmetically, the standard Gixxer SF model has recently witnessed changes for the model year 2019. Wherein, the model has got new fairing, sharp-looking LED headlight, a new slip seat setup instead of the earlier single-seat unit and clip-on handlebar as well.
Mechanically, the powering for this special edition model will come from the same 154.9cc, single-cylinder air-cooled engine of the last generation model. In integration with a five-speed gearbox unit, the engine is rated to develop 14.1PS of power at 8,000rpm and 14Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm.

The suspension setup on the motorcycle comprises of a telescopic fork up front and a mono-shock at the rear. While the braking duties on the Gixxer SF MotoGP Edition will be handled by disc brakes at both wheels. The facility of single-channel ABS is being offered as standard.
