Tata Hexa Specs Leaked Online ahead of its Launch in January 2017

Since its first public debut at the 2016 Auto Expo, the Tata Hexa SUV has been captured by spy photographers on several occasion. This is not all as the automaker has also revealed some information of the unit that confirmed earlier about automatic transmission, driving modes and all wheel drive configurations. Now ahead of its launch, which is scheduled to take place in January 2017, a list of features including interior and safety has also been posted online by an official Facebook group of this vehicle.

Quite like the Tiago hatchback, which has garnered over 50,000 bookings, the “Confident Luxury” (Tagline Used for Hexa) will also feature design cues from the company’s studio in Pune, Italy and the UK. As the Indianautosblog report suggests, the muscular and stylish body of the Hexa will run on a set of 19-inch alloy wheels. Well, much of the details have already been out at the time of its official debut that are - LED daytime running lights, projector headlamps, hefty front bumper, and others.

In terms of dimensions, the Hexa measures 4788 mm in length, 1791 mm in height, and 1903 mm in width along with a wheelbase of 2850 mm and a ground clearance of 200 mm. Apart from these, it will carry a 60-litres capacity of the fuel tank.

Inside the cabin, it will come up with an instrument cluster along with different color zones of display such as Green, Orange and Red in order to provide information in a better way. In addition, the higher variants XM and XT will also receive feature like ‘Voice-activated commands’ for the infotainment system and the instrument cluster display. An audio system with 10-speakers is also available there with the said trims. Moreover, an application under the moniker of “Juke Car” has also been designed for all Hexa owners and it will allow 5 smartphones to be connected to the XUV. There is also a stuff like DTE (Distance to Empty) that displays the estimated distance the car can go before it way out of fuel.

Well, the carmaker didn’t leave any box unticked and provided a range of safety features as well. It includes EBD, ROM (Roll-Over Mitigation, with ESP), VDC (Vehicle Dynamic Control), HHC(Hill Hold Control), HDC(Hill Descent Control), EBD, TCS (Traction Control System), and HBA (Hydraulic Brake Assist). Also, attributes like, ABS, dual airbags comes as a standard attachment across all the variants, while the top-end mill gets 6 airbags and ESP (electronic stability control).

Under the hood, it is likely to be powered by a 2.2-litre four-cylinder VARICOR 400 diesel engine which is currently running in the new Safari Storme. The motor is capable enough to propel the car with a maximum power of 154 Bhp and a torque of 400 Nm of torque. From the latest report, it is confirmed that the entry level unit of the Hexa will house a 5-speed manual and the other will get both the manual and automatic gearbox units.

The report also indicates about Tata Hexa’s service schedules. Available with three free services, the first one is at 5000kms/3 months, the second one at 10000kms/6 month and the last one at 20,000kms/12 months. Besides, it has also been offered with a warranty of 3 years/1,50,000 km as standard.
