Undisguised Jeep C-SUV Spotted on the Ground Prior to Official Debut

Slated to be debuted at the 2016 Sao Paulo Motor Show, a production ready unit of the upcoming Jeep C-SUV has been spotted on the ground. It’s not the first time when the model has been captured by a spy photographer, but this time, there is not even a single piece of plastic veil over the body that usually forbids us to grab the details of the car. The much-awaited model is basically designed to pursue the market of developing countries which includes the Indian segment as well.

Codenamed as Project 551, it will celebrate its world premiere at the 2016 Los Angeles Motor Show as well as will possibly make its presence at the 2016 Sao Paulo Auto Show, to be held later this month. Pursuing the details, it stands at Fiat Chrysler Automobile (Jeep’s parent company) based Small Wide Platform, which is also performing its duties under the Jeep’s entry-level SUV, the Renegade. Once landed up in the market, it will fill the gaps between the Grand Cherokee and the Renegade.

Jeep C-SUV with Contrasting Black Roof

On the designing front, it looks like the automaker has built a younger brother of the Grand Cherokee. However, a lot has been inherited from Jeep, featuring a premium touch. The much aggressive front has been dominated by a signature grille situated beneath  the company’s logo. Moreover, the contrasting black color roof is enhancing the exterior appeal. Features like tail lights, ORVMs and fog lights are also adorned with a little use chrome work. No such images of inside the cabin have been captured yet, but, the details will be revealed soon with its debut.

As far as the powerhouse is concerned, the Jeep C-SUV is expected to get a 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engine options. Furthermore, both the front and the four-wheel drive configuration would be there. If the rumours turn out to be true, the India-bound model will be launched sometime in 2017.
