Honda CX-02 Concept Patented; Could be Named as CB500X

Honda has earlier showcased the concept of the CX-02 at the 2016 Auto Expo wherein the company has divulged the design strategy of its upcoming adventure bikes. Apparently, the Japanese arm of the brand has got the patent for the said concept, which indicates that the production might get started anytime soon.

As per the reports, the bike for which the patents have been filed resembles that of the CX-02 concept and will be named as CB500X. For those who forgot, the R&D unit of Honda in India built the bike revealed as a concept. Besides, the brand was tight-lipped about the mechanical details that time.

Honda wants to be on a safer side by patenting the design as no one else would be able to copy it later. Talking about the features, the concept featured inverted forks and radially mounted brake calipers and the same will probably be seen on the new CB500X. Moreover, an aluminum swing arm could be available as well.
