Vespa 946 Emporio Armani and 70th Anniversary Edition Introduced in India

Piaggio has added two of its elegantly designed limited run scooter offerings-Vespa 946 Emporio Armani and a 70th Anniversary special edition in the Indian product portfolio. More or less, equivalent to a full-fledged SUV pricing, the Vespa 949 Emporio Armani dignifies prominent Italian fashion brand- Giorgio Armani styling. Commemorating Giorgio Armani’s 40th and Piaggio Group’s 130th anniversary, the new Vespa 946 is one of the most expensive scooters in the Indian motoring market, holding the price tag of INR 12,04,970 (ex-showroom, Pune). But, the Aprilia SRV 850 ABS is still flaunting with the costliest scooter title.

Now, if go through the mechanicals, packed with a four-stroke, single-cylinder engine with the displacement of 125cc. The scooter churns out 11.7hp of max power and a peak torque of 10.3Nm with the aids of mated an automatic gearbox transmission. It comes equipped with the top shelves features like 220mm front disc and a dual channel ABS and ASR (anti-slip regulator) traction control, in order to match the scooter’s swagger character in safety concerns.

Vespa 70th anniversary edition

While, both scooter’s braking bodies are different, the 946 uses 220mm rotors for the front disc brakes and the 70th-anniversary edition is equipped with slight smaller in size rotor of 200mm.
