Bajaj Avenger Acquires BS IV Engine Technology

As we all know that Bajaj, the giant two wheeler manufacturing firm has started to upgrade its bike series with the latest BS IV engine technology. The company on its Facebook page has announced that the new Bajaj Avenger will now be seen riding on BS IV engine on Indian roads. Bajaj Avenger is the first bike to acquire this technology according to the company, but the thing to notice is Bajaj Pulsar 220F was last week reported to receive the revision for MY2017, which is already on sale.

The Bajaj Avenger comes in three different variants including Avenger Street 150, Avenger Street 220 and Avenger Cruise 220. It is still unclarified that which one of these models acquires that technology, but as per the pictures, we can say that Avenger Street is the lucky one. But still, the company is yet to make official changes on their website.

Talking about the goons of the bikers street, Bajaj Street 150 features a 150cc DTS-i air-cooled engine, which is capable of delivering a maximum power of 14.54PS at 9,000rpm with a peak torque of 12.5NM at 6,500 rpm with the help of a 5-speed transmission unit. The Bajaj Avenger Street 220 and Avenger Cruise 220 are blessed with a 220cc oil-cooled engine, which is capable of developing maximum power output of 19.03 PS at 8,400 rpm with a peak torque of 17.5 Nm at 7,000 rpm with the help of a 5-speed transmission unit.

The Avenger 150 is currently available priced at Rs 76,989 (ex-showroom Delhi), whereas the Bajaj Avenger Street 220 and Avenger Cruise 220 at Rs 87,331 (ex-showroom Delhi). May be the pricing will be a bit changed after the compliance of new engine technology, which is still under cover and yet to be released.
