Volkswagen has rolled out its compact sedan, the Ameo at the ongoing Indian Auto Expo 2016. Albeit, the car was revealed on 2nd February and has been noticed many times. There are lots of things that distinguish it with from its siblings, but still one need to see it very closely. Its design and features are largely based on the Polo hatchback. The car will give a tough fight to the major volume turners, such as the Hyundai, Swift Dzire, Ford Figo Aspire and Grand i10.

The Ameo looks like its elder sister, Vento and also shared some aspects with Polo like the front, the side, wheels and window lines. Now talking about its safety standard, Volkswagen has maintained the ABS, dual front airbags and EBD across the new variant line-up. The interior of the car is in a combination of black and beige that seems to have been taken from the Vento. Besides this, it's equipped with the infotainment system, digital driver information cluster, flat bottom multi-function steering wheel and first cruise control.
Coming to its mechanical configuration, it's fitted with 1.2-liter petrol motor generating 74 bhp, while the diesel one is packed with a 1.5 liter, which produces 88.7 bhp of power. Moreover, it carries sufficient space for all five occupants.
