Volkswagen Focuses on Golf R Variant at L.A. Show

The Volkswagen is currently concentrating to make an official demonstration for its 2015 Golf R variant at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. The outgoing versions have brought greater success for this German automaker and the latest variant in the estate body structure is expected to increase the rate of popularity. The runabout gets the unique outlook, which will bring a new test for the customers who have been fed up seeing the cars comprising the same patterns. Hence, for the first time, the manufacturer has designed this model in the shape of station wagon. It includes the stunning R design bumper, four chrome exhaust tips, a high gloss black diffuser, LED license plate lighting and the cherry red taillights.

The vehicle will have the brand new 18 inch alloy wheels with the 225/40 tires and the logo of “R” will come alongside the black painted brake calipers. At the front, there will be R-specific bumper, a distinctive radiator grille and the Bi-Xenon headlights including DRLs. The powertrains are identical to the previous hatchback and it is powered by the same four cylinder engine that produces the transcendent output of 300 hp as well as the torque of 280 pound-feet. The permanent 4MOTION all wheel drive system will be available with the standard 6 speed DSG dual clutch automatic transmission.

The new Volkswagen Golf R could achieve the speed of 80 km/h starting from zero in just 3.8 seconds and in only 5.1 seconds, the carriage touches mark up to 100 km/h. The top speed will be electronically restricted to 250 km/h.
