VW Passat with GTE Plug-in Hybrid Model Ready for Paris Show

The Volkswagen has redesigned its Passat, which will make its world wide first appearance at the 2014 Paris Motor Show with the latest engines, less weight, new assistance, infotainment as well as the convenience system. The runabout will be available in the sedan and wagon body structure. The brand has been already rendered the VW Golf alongside the GTE badge and now, the company is also prepared to debut its spectacular plug in hybrid version with the name of Passat GTE at the upcoming Paris Motor Show in the first week of the next month.

VW Passat GTE Engine

Based on the MQB platform, the powertrain of the most awaited Passat GTE will be identical to the  Golf GTE. It is powered by a 1.4 liter four cylinder turbocharged engine coupled with an electric motor and a six speed DSG dual-clutch transmission. The mill will delivers the astonish output of 154 hp, while the electric motor will have the capacity to pump out the superb output of 113 hp. When we merge both of these variants, then the vehicle will generate the total splendid power of 215 hp alongside the torque of 295 pound-feet.

VW Passat GTE Interior

The VW Passat GTE receives the royal features for the exterior and it includes the unique front bumper, blue accents in the grille, GTE badges as well as the eight spoke 17 inch alloy. The interior is same as the existing Passat, but the arriving carriage has some distinct elements and few hybrid specific functions in the touchscreen. The Passat GTE will be available in the European market for purchasing from the next year.
