Yamaha Pulled the Curtains Off from the new Tracer 700

Appears like the predictions we have made about Yamaha's new tourer, which was seen last year in the spied images are turned out to be true. The leading Japanese hunk has pulled off the curtain from its new tourer- the Tracer 700. Although, giving a contradiction, its name is not the same as was expected i.e. the MT-07.

The designing cues are pretty similar to the elder brother- the MT-09 Tracer. Undoubtedly, the captivating exterior silhouette makes the bike look more subtle and gusty at the same time. The work done by the Japanese engineers and designers is really very appreciating as the machine has got a proper styling incorporating a little bit of naked touch. The dual headlamp assembly flaunts edgy cuts perfectly well making it looks like a beast.

When it comes to the Tracer's touring abilities, the 17-litre fuel tank will take care of your long distance journeys around a range of 340kms. Powertrain in the motorcycle comes from a 689cc, DOHC, 4-valve, twin-cylinder, fuel-efficient engine that accelerates a maximum power of 75BHP at 9000 RPM and a peak torque of 68NM at 6500 RPM. Transmission comes from a six-speed gearbox with one down and five-up shifts. Talking about the braking responsibilities, the 282mm discs at the front and 245mm discs at rear manage the tourer along with a standard ABS.

Coming towards the suspension department, the diamond chassis frame has got telescopic forks up front while enhanced swingarm by 50mm at the rear portion. Gaining a weight of 196kg, the bike sports lightweight 10-spoke cast aluminium wheels. The three vibrant shades offered by Yamaha- red, blue and black would make it easy for the audience to choose without making any serious efforts. The new Tracer 700 will reach the markets by June this year with a price tag of £6,299 (approx. 5 lakh). However, its Indian launch is not going to be there anytime soon. But, if it does, the battle between the Kawasaki Versys 650 and the Yamaha Tracer 700 would be certainly very exciting.
