Yamaha to Unveil Higher Capacity M-Slaz at the Auto Expo

As we are approaching near towards the Delhi Auto Expo, rumors are in motion that Yamaha India is likely to introduce the M-Slaz with a more powerful version in the country. The Japanese auto giant has unveiled the naked street-fighter in Thailand previously in December last year. On an impressive note, nothing could be a more appropriate way than to introduce the higher capacity M-Slaz in India on this epic auto event. The motorcycle is currently on sale in Thailand and acquires engine and chassis from its faired sibling.

Specs-wise, the Indian version will probably get power from a 200-220cc single cylinder motor. According to the sources, the brand name will be changed from M-Slaz to MT for the India Specific model and it will acquire a place between the R15 and the R3 from the company's product lineup. Manufacturing of the new bike will be done in India only. Also, a fully-faired version of this motorcycle may get under the development process.

When unveiled in Thailand, it measures out 17PS of power and 15NM of torque, fairly similar to the YZF-R15. On top of that, it features USD front forks, flabby rubber and peculiar styling over the R15. Do expect an aggressive pricing of the streetfigher starting from under Rs. 2 lakh at the Auto Expo, as it seems that Yamaha is going to play a big game with its higher capacity M-Slaz. It is anticipated that the production version to be shown at the forthcoming event.
