LeEco, the Chinese conglomerate, has launched two smartphones in India dubbed as Le 2 and Le Max 2. The smartphones have already been launched in Beijing. The Le 2 is priced at Rs 11,999 and Le Max 2 which is the more premium offering is priced at Rs 22,999(4GB RAM+32GB space) and Rs. 29,999 for its 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant.
LeEco now have its own e-commerce portal,LeMall for India as well on which the flash sale of these two Android smartphones will begin on June 28.Registrations for both the smartphones will start on June 20 on Flipkart and LeMall.com. As a promotion technique, a 10 percent cashback on SBI credit cards can be availed by the people who make the purchase during the flash sale plus free Le Headphones worth Rs. 1,990, and LeEco Membership worth Rs. 4,900.
Design And Display: LeEco has not experiment much with the Le 2, Le Max 2, both the GSM-handsets look pretty similar to their earlier version and by simply looking at the phones, you can't really differentiate, unless you know the specs. Le 2 and Le Max 2 both come with a metal unibody design, and look quite stylish. Le 2 features a 5.5-inch full HD display, while Max 2 gets a 5.7-inch 2K display. The large-display size of Le Max 2 makes it quite a heavy device. LeEco has ended the 3.5 mm headphone jack from both the smartphones, which is quite a revolutionary step for a company who is new in the smartphone business. The phones now support Type-C USB headphones, although it is not clear yet whether or not the final sales box will contain headphones.
Processor, RAM, Storage: Le 2 has 3GB RAM and 32GB storage space, runs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor. Le Max 2 will be available in India in two versions: 4GB RAM+32GB storage and 6GB RAM+64GB storage. Le Max 2 runs the top-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, clocked at 2.15 Ghz.
Camera: Le 2 has a 16 mp rear camera , while the front camera is now 8 mp. With Le Max 2 flaunts a 21 mp rear camera, and a 8 mp front camera. The camera s of both the smartphones come with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture. The low light performance of Le Max 2 is far more better than Le 2.
Le 2 gets a 3000mAh battery and the Le Max 2 has a capacity of 3100 mAh battery. Although LeEco claims fast-charge on both these smartphones, but as they support Type-C USB charging, so carrying that cable around will be necessary.
Both the smartphones runs Android 6.0. Connectivity options of both the dual-SIM(Nano-SIM) smartphones include 4G,VoLTE,and don’t have an expandable memory slot.
