After getting launched in Taiwan back in November 2016, HTC on Thursday introduced its 10 Evo flagship smartphone in India with a price tag of Rs 48,990. The handset is already available via HTC India e-store only in Pearl Gold colour variant across the country.
The biggest highlight of the handset is its USB Type C-enabled 'dual adaptive' headphones combined with HTC BoomSound Adaptive Audio, which tailors the sound output to the user’s hearing and ear structure.
Concerning the specifications, the Android smartphone features a 5.5-inch QHD display with resolution 1440 X 2560 pixels along with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and a water-resistant aluminium build. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM. It also packs 32GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable up to 2TB via microSD card.
In term of optics, the Dual-SIM smartphone packs 16-megapixel of rear camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation), 4K video recording, and PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus). An 8-megapixel front shooter with screen flash is also provided by the company for shooting selfies. The handset is backed up by a 3200mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 and includes 4G LTE, NFC, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, and a USB Type-C (2.0) port as connectivity options on board.
The GSM handset lacks 3.5mm audio jack and runs Android 7.0 Nougat OS, which comes with many admirable new features including split-screen view, free unlimited photo storage with Google Photos app, and inbuilt Google Duo video calling app. A fingerprint sensor is also mounted at the home button, which is claimed to unlock your smartphone in just 0.2 seconds.
