HTC Desire 728 and Desire 626 dual-SIM Price Slashed by INR 1000

Taiwan-based smartphone maker HTC in its recent update has slashed down the prices of both of its recently launched products i.e., the HTC Desire 728 that was launched last month and the HTC Desire 626 that was revealed just last week. As per the reports, the company has dropped the price by INR 1000 on both the devices to avoid discrepancy.

HTC Desire 728 originally came in at a price tag of INR 17,990 and now with the price cut, it will be made available for purchase at INR 16,990. It's not a bad bargain since on the specs front, it definitely pays off featuring a 5.5-inch display with a 720x1280 display. Under the hood, it houses 2800mAh battery and is further powered by a MediaTek processor. It offers 2GB or RAM and offers an inbuilt storage capacity of 16GB that quite easily can be expanded up to 2TB using a microSD card.

HTC Desire 728 is a dual-SIM variant that runs on Android OS with a UI of HTC Sense on the top. It is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera(LED flash and autofocus included) along with a 5-megapixel camera on the front side. Apart from the standard connectivity options and a good battery life, it also features a Motion G Sensor and Compass Sensor along with a Proximity and Ambient Light Sensor.

The other smartphone HTC Desire 626 Dual SIM also got a price cut of Rs. 1000 with its new price now becoming INR 13,990. It is available in two color variants Blue Lagoon and White Birch. Just like Desire 728, this handset too runs on Android OS with Sense UI on the top. The company surprisingly hasn't yet revealed the Android OS version but it is expected to run on Android Lollipop v5.1.1. It features a 5.0-inch display, is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. It offers an inbuilt storage capacity of 16GB that is expandable up to 32GB using a microSD card.

On the camera front, it sports a 13-megapixel on the rear end and 5-megapixel on the front end. It offers all the standard connectivity options along with DLNA, GLONASS, is equipped with an accelerometer, ambient light, magnetic sensor and is powered by a 2000mAh battery. Additionally, it's quite light as it carries a weight of just 135 grams.
