HTC One S9 With Metal Body and 2GB RAM Launched

When HTC this year dispatched its Dual-SIM smartphone i..e., HTC 10 in two variants it looked like the company is all set to dump the "One" moniker it had been using for a long time in all its latest releases. However, it looks like the Taiwanese company is in the mood of keeping its "One" series alive as it has now released another brand new handset in the market dubbed as HTC One S9 priced at nearly EUR 499 (INR 33,700) . The handset featuring a metal design has been listed on the Germany's website with no specific information on its availability.

Additionally, in terms of rear design, the new GSM-handset HTC One S9 looks similar from the back as was observed in HTC One M9 while on the front end, they too are different. The One S9 now includes two speaker openings rather than the grille seen on the One M9. The front-facing camera and sensor situation continue as before.

As for the specifications, the HTC One S9 features a 5-inch full-HD Super LCD display giving 1080x1920 pixel resolution with Gorilla Glass protection and a pixel density of 443ppi. The device operates on latest Android operating system i.e., Android 6.0 Marshmallow with a layer of HTC Sense UI on the top. Under the hood, the device packs a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor clocked at 2GHz and clubs 2GB of RAM.

The HTC One S9 offers 16GB of inbuilt storage, which can be extended up to 200 GB by means of microSD card. On the camera front, the handset sports a 13-megapixel self-adjust (autofocus) back camera with BSI sensor, OIS, f/2.0 opening and LED flash, coupled with a front-facing 4-Ultrapixel settled center BSI sensor with 2um pixels, and f/2.0 aperture.

The device supports 4G LTE feature and offers other connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/air conditioning, Bluetooth v4.1, NFC, Miracast, GPS, A-GPS, and Micro-USB. Dimensionally, the device measures 144.6x69.7x10.09mm and houses a 2840mAh battery, which as per company promises to deliver up to 13 hours of talk time and 658 hours of standby time on 3G systems. Last but not the least, the One S9 also comes equipped with Boomsound audio technology paired with Dolby Audio.
