Idea cellular and Sony have joined hands, under which the Indian cellular operator will give 60GB of extra data to buyers of the Sony Xperia R1 and Xperia R1 Plus mobiles. Both these Sony handsets will be available to buy in India from November 10. All the buyers of Sony Xperia R1 and R1 Plus will get 10GB data from Idea on purchasing a recharge of Rs. 300 and above. A buyer can avail this offer for six times, adding up to 60GB of complementary data. Also, Amazon India is providing buyers Rs. 75 as cashback on purchases made via Amazon Pay balance. Sony Xperia R1 and Xperia R1 Plus smartphones buyers can also opt for no-cost EMI via Bajaj FinServ and other major credit cards.
The Sony Xperia R1 Plus and R1 have 5.2-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) TFT displays and are powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC. Both these latest Sony mobiles operate on Android Nougat and have support for dual-SIM. On the optics front, devices sport 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, Exmor Sony sensor, and LED flash and come with an 8-megapixel front camera on each. the handsets are backed by a 2620mAh and support USB Type-C port.

Sony Xperia R1 and Xperia R1 Plus mobiles have almost identical specs and features with just RAM and storage difference. The Sony Xperia R1 Plus comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage at Rs. 12,990, whereas the Xperia R1 packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage at Rs. 14,990.
