Lava V2s With Marshmallow Support For INR 7,899

Lava, the popular homegrown based smartphone manufacturing company has launched its new smartphone dubbed as Lava V2s at a price tag of Rs. 7,899. However, the smartphone is yet to be officially announced by the domestic handset maker.

The major USP of the smartphone, it runs on Android 5.1 based Lollipop operating system and is said to be upgradable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. The Lava V2s sports an 8-megapixel front facing camera with LED flashlight, which is another highlight of the smartphone at this price point.

In terms of other specifications, the dual SIM enabled device features a 5-inch HD IPS display having a resolution of 720*1280 pixels. It is offering a pixel density of 294ppi and is powered by a 1GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM.

At this price tag, the Lava V2s will compete against the Intex Aqua Glam, which is priced at Rs. 7,690 and also sports an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

On the storage end, the GSM mobile phone houses an 8GB of inbuilt storage, that can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot expansion. It is measuring 141.6x70.8x8mm and weighs 129 grams.

The Lava V2s is now available to purchase via Amazon in Icy White and Mirror Black color variants. Notably, the newly launched handset by lava features a 4G connectivity and support for Indian LTE bands. It is backed by a 2500mAh battery.

Recently, domestic handset maker launched its two new budget smartphones that were listed on the company's site - the Flair S1 and A52.

Both of the smartphones, the Lava Flair S1 and Lava A52 that were hanged with a pricing details- Rs. 3,799 and Rs. 3,599 respectively available via several third party online retailers.
