Oppo Patent Images Indicates New Pop-up Display And Side-Slider Smartphones Design

Vivo Apex was the first smartphone under the company brand to come with a pop-up selfie camera. Other OEMs are still trying to work on the same design as it gives a larger screen by giving a higher screen-to-body ratio. Now taking a step forward, the company is ready to bring a new trend in the smartphone industry by bringing a pop-up display design. This can be said because of the latest patent indicates the same.

From the patent images, we can say that the smartphone carries a secondary display which will pop-up from the primary display. The design at first might be unrealistic but if we consider it then there will be a lot of new things to notice. In the primary screen, the content can be viewed while in the secondary screen, other applications can run simultaneously.

The patent images also indicates that the selfie camera will be aligned on the top bezel near an earpiece of the primary screen. It is also seen that there is no notch or a punch hole in the display for the selfie camera.

Apart from the pop-up display patent, Oppo also filed a patent for the horizontal sliding mechanism smartphone i.e. side-slider smartphone. The secondary display might also be used as a keyboard or remote control while playing games. These are just patents, and we are not sure whether it will go in the production stage or not because from many ideas and patents only few go in to the production stage. This is just a patent which means that the company is planning to make such device with such designs.

Furthermore, Oppo is going to launch its Reno smartphone series soon in China. It is speculated that the device will come in multiple variants as per the different budget segment.
