Samsung, the renowned Korean smartphone maker, has recently been in news for the launch of its magnum opus Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ and now the company is rumored to launch the Galaxy Note 8 in the second half of 2017. The report also claims that the upcoming 'Galaxy Note' series phablet will have Infinity Display (like Galaxy S8) and will operate on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. However, the report doesn't give any insight about the much hyped S Pen for the Galaxy Note 8.

It must be noted that the Samsung uses the term Infinity Display for the near bezel-less display that was recently seen in the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones. The thin slim bezels on the top and the curved sides give them an 18.5:9 display ratio for an immersive experience. According to report by a Dutch website, the Samsung is looking to bring the same Infinity Display to the Galaxy Note 8, which also revealed that the company is testing the phablet on the latest Android Nougat.

On the specification front, the Samsung gaGalaxy Note 8 is expected to have a display of 6.3-inch that will be slightly bigger than that of the Galaxy S8+. Further, the device might be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC in the US and the Exynos 8895 chipset outside the US. It's highly anticipated that in order to incorporate the Infinity Display the company will ditch the Home Button and the fingerprint sensor could be located beneath the display. It's worth mentioning that the Synaptics has recently unveiled the optical fingerprint scanner technology that has made possible to scan fingerprint through the glass.
