Snapdragon 818 Leaked in Document with Specs, Suggests 10 cores

In today’s tech era, smartphone’s become the most powerful device for all kind of works. And for that reason, they need power which never ends and binds to offer boasting performance. To knock you down with a feather, the renowned name in the chip manufacturing Qualcomm is reportedly coming with a deca-core CPU.

The Snapdragon 818 is in talks for making deca-core possible. However, Mediatek is also bringing deca-core processor in its list which is a part of Helio X20 lineup, named MediaTek MT6797 SoC. Apparently, the chip maker’s high-end Snapdragon 810 SoC has not received the success which was being expected. It faced Overheating and many other issues. Well, learning from the past mistakes, Qualcomm has decided to bring something more powerful to stay top in competition. Hence, the company is working on a new chipset which will bring 10 cores – including four high-powered, four low-powered, and two mid-powered cores.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 818 deca-core SoC

Snapdragon 818 is the alleged successor of the Snapdragon 810 which is leaked in a document with some information. It is said to feature Adreno 532 GPU and LPDDR4 RAM. The leaked document also suggest about LTE Cat 10 network support.

The purported processor is rumoured to get 4x Cortex-A53 cores, 4x Cortex-A72, and 2x Cortex cores; each clocked at 1.2GHz, 2.0GHz, and 1.6GHz frequency respectively. We can also say that this new SoC will roll out as a powerhouse and will act in the same way hopefully. Well, we can’t mark any confirmation on such information as it is just a rumour, not a genuine report by the Qualcomm itself.
