The Japan-only flagship smartphone of Sony, Xperia Z4 has finally received official words for the global roll out. As mentioned in an earlier report, this Japan based tech giant has labeled this edition with a new moniker: Xperia Z3+ for rest of the world. As per listing on the official website, phone is fitted with almost identical specs as the original model and expected to hit the shelves of retail stores in June, but pricing is still unknown.
Taking a glance at handset, Xperia Z3+ continues the design story of corporation by featuring a sleek rounded aluminum frame, durable tempered glass panels and a uniquely designed power button. The gadget is waterproof and dust-tight with IP65 and IP68 certifications and has a 6.9 mm of thickness. In order to match the taste and lifestyle of fashionistas, device has been designed in four sophisticated colors, namely classic Black, White, Copper and Aqua Green.
Moving toward the imaging front, phone is outfitted with a 20.7-megapixel auto focus camera that incorporates Exmor RS image sensor, 25mm wide-angle G lens, HDR, Geotagging and Superior Auto automatically optimises photographic environment and capable to recognize up to 52 different scenes. The 5-megapixel front shooter is accompanied with Exmor R sensor, 25mm wide-angle lens and offers SteadyShot with Intelligent Active Mode functionality to produce smoother videos.
The phone bears a 5.2-inch FHD (1920x1080) IPS display equipped with company's TRILUMINOS and X-Reality technologies produces super sharp images with accurate colors and deep level of details. The mobile has been manufactured in both Single SIM and Dual SIM variants and confers NFC, 4G LTE, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi, USB 2.0 & Micro USB support on the connectivity front.
Power packed with Qualcomm 64 bit Octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor alongside Adreno 430 GPU, Xperia Z3+ is billing itself as a performance beast. To take the full advantage of multitasking SoC, it comprises 3GB RAM in its shell. Memory-wise, handheld is arrayed with 32GB ROM, which is extendable up to 128GB by using a microSD card.
Running on Google Android 5.0 Lollipop, this invention of Japanese mobile maker is fueled by a 2930mAh battery, which has been rated to render 17 hours of talk time and 590 hours of standby time. And, users can get one day usage with just 45 minutes of charging when using a Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 certified charger, such as UCH10, says Sony.
Though, corporation has made a good attempt to vie with leading providers of smartphones, where Galaxy S6 & Galaxy S6 edge and iPhone 6 & iPhone 6 Plus are the biggest and powerful brickbats in its way. However, pricing of handset is still a mystery, but firm will have to price this newly-launched phone competitively to make it profit-oriented, because price is one of the major factors for the success of any device.
