Xiaomi Mi 5 Front Panel Snapshots Leaked; Fingerprint Scanner on Home Button

Chinese Electronics Company, Xiaomi, has revealed live snapshots of its upcoming flagship smartphone Mi 5 that allegedly displayed the device's front panel. The images revealed the availability of home button on the handset. Rumors were there that the home button on the handset would probably serve as a fingerprint scanner. If the above saying turns out to be true, than Xiaomi Mi 5 would be the first smartphone to feature a physical home button in its lineup. Previous disclosure flaunted that the forthcoming Mi 5 sports a near bezel-less display. An another image also showed handset's front panel connectors. As per the earlier leaks, two versions of the smartphone are said to be leaked by the company. One will be priced at CNY 1,999 (approx. INR 20,800) and the second one will be priced at CNY 2,499 (approx. INR 26,000). Xiaomi will also use a pressure sensitive touchscreen, similar to Apple's 3D Touch like pressure sensitive technology. It is expected that Mi 5 would be the country's first handset that runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and will also come with the new MIUI version.

Launch date for the Xiaomi Mi 5 flagship smartphone has not been released yet by the company, but it declares that the device will be "Worth the wait" and is "very, very good", buzzing over the social media. According to a fresh update, the smartphone might be launched next year on January 21 by the company.
