Xiaomi has started rolling out the much-awaited MiUI 8.5.4.0 based Android 7.0 Nougat update for Redmi Note 4 users across the globe and in India. The update is being rolled out in phases, and some users have already received it while others are still waiting to receive the notification. As per the second quarter report of the Indian smartphone market, Xiaomi is the most successful Chinese smartphone company in India, with Redmi Note 4 being its best selling phone in this quarter. The company had recently introduced its latest Android based ROM, MIUI 9, which was launched along with Xiaomi’s latest flagship smartphone Xiaomi Mi 5X. Surprisingly, the Android Nougat update for Note 4 devices is not based on MIUI 9 but on an older version.
