The new range of emojis have come for the various kind of users to support the platform compatibility.  The latest set of taco emojis support from Unicode 7 and Unicode 8, which debuted on Apple's mobile operating system with iOS 9.1 version, would soon be reaching Android devices as well. No official date has been announced for the upgradable platform but it has been confirmed that the emojis will be surfacing the Android platforms soon.

The Senior Vice President of Android, Chrome OS, and Chromecast, Hiroshi Lockheimer confirmed the same on Twitter. He posted, "So I have a feeling y'all want new emojis? a) Thanks for the feedback, b) We're on it, and c) Sorry!" With the ongoing speculations, it is pegged to be released alongside Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. But the question rolls out in mind, whether the update will roll out for all the smart devices, will it feature most phones and provide compatible platform. Hopefully! With this update, Google will also roll out a new update for the cycled plan.

Not only Taco, but also a wide range of emojis are going to be surfaced to the devices. Those who are unaware, now gets the iOS 9.1 update for iPhones and iPads. The Apple device features a range of new emoticons including taco, burrito, cheese wedge, middle finger, champagne bottle, unicorn head and others, with a few of them already seen in iOS 9.1 public beta.

The twitter post may have a reaction to the popular Reddit thread by Android users asking, if "Android has any plans to stay on the top of it?"

The OS version brings in total 184 emojis in the room. The span rolls across animals, weather, flags, objects, hand gestures, sport, places, faith and others. Since the Android and iOS supports different versions of emojis Unicode, so the ones using Android emoji to send on iOS device will not be accessible for an Apple device user.

As per an Emojipedia blog post, the upcoming Unicode 9.0 version includes additions such as the face palm and nauseated face. The unsupported emojis will be flashed out as small boxes with a cross inside them. The emoji update is scheduled for mid-2016.

Unicode Consortium in June this year released Unicode 8, which included "37 new emojis such as the Face with Rolling Eyes, Hugging Face, Taco, Cheese Wedge and Hockey - both ice and field varieties." The latest version includes five additional emoji modifiers, bringing the total number of emojis to 41. It is the most awaited update for all the customers to get in the place.
