Apple's New Rumored iPhone Feature Gets Criticized Globally

In an attempt to make the iPhone thinner than ever before the internet has been fluttering with the rumored news of Apple plans to ditch the headphone sockets in all its newer variants that are due to launch this year. Apart from this, there are reports that the company might launch wireless headphones too at the same time.

This decision of the company has given an open invite to iOS users to express their discomfort for the same. The users are openly commenting on the feature update something which has not been made yet. There are no official declarations or statements from the company's end, however, users are still not favoring it. There are petitions being signed by users to let Apple know their viewpoint. One such petition reads Apple is about to rip off every one of its customers again.

Those behind the petition stated in their defense that they are worried out the mixed response they might get from all corners of the world and the amount of electronic waste that will be generated once these products get launched. To give their defense, a stronghold they further quote an example which states This is right out of the Apple corporate playbook and a few years ago it swapped out the original iPod-dock connector with a new one, making countless cords, cables, and chargers obsolete.

There's no doubt that Apple has never been shy of ditching older technology, from the DVD drives on its laptops to the 30-pin iDevice connector previously mentioned. Quite recently, we also heard of another news that reported of Apple developing wireless headphones for the upcoming iPhone 7 that has the ability to connect to smartphones via Bluetooth and that too without cords. iPhone 7 would unlikely be accompanied by those earbuds which can pick-up calls and activate Siri due to their high price since even normal headphones cost around $300.
