Just after one week of releasing the Le 1S and Le Max in India, the Chinese smartphone and television maker, LeEco, has again announced that the company will roll out its Virtual Reality Headset and Smart TVs in June. However, there is no official declaration on the specs and the exact release date of the launch from the company's end till now.

The LeEco was founded in 2004 and was formerly known as LeTv, and after all these years the company entered the smartphone market just last year in the month of April and since then has sold almost 4-million handsets. Taking into consideration the demands of the user and the rivalry being faced from all fronts, this move by LeEco is being called as one of the smartest moves to garner users. The company has already tied up with Eros Now and Yupp TV, however, Atul Jain who happens to be the Chief Operating officer of LeEco denied to reveal tie-ups with Reliance Jio, which is building India's biggest 4G telecommunication network.

Samsung-Gear-VR-headset

LeEco VR Headset has been named Le 3D Helmet, which features a 5.5-inch 2k (2560x1440 pixels) LCD display with a 70-degree field view and rumors state that Le 3D Helmet will have a similar design and functionality as the Samsung VR Gear. Apart from specs and the release date, the company has also not declared the market price of both the headset and smart TV however it is expected to be priced at $599. This announcement is likely to pose a high competition to upcoming Facebook Oculus and Samsung VR Gear.

The tech-gurus consider Virtual Reality (VR) as the next big thing in technology, but still not many VR gadgets are available in India and LeEco looking at the future prospects wants to cash-in this opportunity to the best of its efforts.
