Microsoft Terminates Project Spark Game Creation Tool Completely

Apart from releasing number of other products and updates, popular tech-giant Microsoft has been constantly trying to mark its foothold in the gaming industry which is also evident from the release of Project Spark. It happens to be one of the most intriguing concept released by Microsoft in the recent years. It lets users make their own particular games on both the Windows PCs and the Xbox One for their personal enjoyment. The plan of action it took after was free with small scale exchanges, permitting users to upgrade and alter their overall gaming experience.

The group behind it reported it will rotate to "a free and open creation stage" a year ago however, the RedMond based company Microsoft has now officially declared that it is terminating its Project Spark project completely inside and out.

Project Spark was one of the better supported games from Microsoft

"Starting 5/13/16, "Project Spark" will no longer be available for download on the Xbox Marketplace or Windows Store. For existing users of "Project Spark," online services will be unavailable after 8/12/16. Without services, players will no longer be able to download user-generated content or upload their own creations. If you want to access user-generated content offline, you will need to download this content prior to 8/12/16," a post by Project Spark's Community Manager Thomas Gratz on the game's official forum reads. "Be sure to download your favourite community creations and your own uploads if they are not saved locally."

In the light of this news, one would accept there would be layoffs at the studio. However, Gratz has vehemently refused of any such happening.

Gratz further added that, "This was an extremely difficult decision for our team that we do not take lightly. When "Project Spark" transitioned away from active development last fall, many of our team members moved to other projects within Microsoft Studios. While this means there have been no layoffs at Microsoft, it also means it's simply no longer feasible to continue the behind-the-scenes work involved with keeping "Project Spark" up and running with meaningful updates and bug fixes, so we have come to this hard decision."

Project Spark was one of the better supported games from Microsoft

With 46 content packs, a huge number of benefits and 16 upgrades since dispatch, Project Spark was one of the better bolstered diversions from Microsoft. However, the unexpected way of turning its plan of action makes us believe that we'll be seeing significantly more diversions that will be blocked off the minute the organizations behind it choose it quits appearing well and good, leaving users with no entrance to something they've paid for, one of the greatest downsides of having an on the web, microtransaction-based part to any computer game.
