YouTube on iOS to Now Support Google Cardboard

Google has quite recently given an overhaul to its YouTube application in the App Store, at long last bringing Google Cardboard support to iOS clients. This upgrade gives iPhone users the capacity to watch YouTube videos in VR mode through the Cardboard.

This capacity has been there for Android smartphone users since last year from the month of November, and YouTube has, at last, the service has been introduced for iPhone users too. iPhone users will now have the capacity to slip in their iPhones into the Cardboard opening and appreciate the 3D immersive experience.

YouTube gets Google Cardboard support

YouTube initially presented 360-degree video support in March last year. which allowed 360 video makers to easily transfer and upload their pre-recorded recordings on YouTube, and viewers could then subscribe and see different angles in 360-degree videos by moving their handset around. As far as desktops are concerned, on them, the clients could simply watch by tapping the mouse on the video and dragging it to the desired angle. One must recall that in April, YouTube went ahead to present support for live streaming of 360-degree recordings too.

This new overhaul opens up new innovative and creative avenues for YouTube content creators, and even organizers who can now live stream essential shows, concerts, and projects in 360 degrees. Bringing Google Cardboard support for iPhone users will help in the expansion of the user base and more viewers will be able to utilize and observe 360-degree videos on YouTube through virtual reality headsets for a more immersive experience.

Google Cardboard

This YouTube iOS overhaul seems valid as it comes only a week after Google upgraded its video streaming application with bug fixes. The last updating fixed bugs that prevented loading of more videos on the HomePage after the user has reached the end of the page that also came coupled with the ability to play the next suggested video in line automatically.
