Skype users are increasing day by day, leading to increase the requirement of the updation of the application for Android and iOS front. Skype's newer version launched with the aim to withstand the market trend along with the support of different designs. The roller coaster ride of Skype has promised to unveil various healthy design fronts with a complete redesign panel for the look stepped Android and iOS platforms.
The new layout takes the front with the round shaped icons featuring all the necessary add-on. For Google's ecosystem, the new layout took a page from the Android 5 "Material" playbook. Another such feature includes a floating button as that of Facebook messenger, to start a call and connect via message or video. Comparing it with Google Hangouts, the app features custom ringtones, photo sharing and web link reviews.
The Android front is quite dissimilar with the iOS version. Microsoft made a slidey view menu to add swipe gestures for calls and messages. It's also easier to post photos, links and emoticons within, when you're on a video or voice call. Another such feature adds enhanced search, location info and other features expected on the messaging front.
The Skype iPad app is slightly different as it features a huge screen with an option of group calling to boot up the system with connectivity. Microsoft said, it's working hard on the next version and "we'll let you know when we have more to share". Further quoting the reported versions availability for Android and iOS users, the company has put on hold the Windows 10 supportive platform with an expected statement uttered.
