Snapdragon 820 will Show its Power on August 11

Qualcomm has been upped in ante from a long time because of its beast SoCs. The chipmaker has also been loved for making quality chipset for mobile devices. After introducing Snapdragon 810 for high-end products, company is now gearing up to bring another high-end SoC for premium devices and it is speculated to bring the same on August 11.

Company had told about this new Soc at MWC 2015, but at that time, no detail regarding its functionality and features have been described. Well, it is said that August 11 would be the day when onlookers will get the opportunity to know the entail of this new SoC. The venue has also been scheduled, Los Angeles is the city where we will get the detailed view of Snapdragon 820.

Qualcomm's upcoming high-end SoC has been rumored to bless several top-end device since its MWC announcement. LG, Sony etc are few tech leaders which have plans to power their handsets with this top-end SoC. However, they also didn't explore the featuures of the same. Well, mystery is going to out very soon on August 11, 2015 as scheduled or you can say as speculated. The only thing we knew about it is its Kryo cores. Yes, Qualcomm will make use of Kryo cores in this new processor which will make use of Krait CPU cores. So, this time, we won't see ARM’s Cortex cores, but the customized one.

Rumours are suggested that it will be using Adreno 530 graphics chip and LPDDR4 RAM to act like a performance beast, and may come up with LTE Cat.10 support. However, it is being rumoured that Qualcomm will use quad-core instead of octa-core for this new SoC. It is also rumoured that Qualcomm is using Samsung's 14nm process to develop its new SoC.
