Snaptrax, A Baseball Cap with Ability of Interacting with Smartphone

What will you call it? The cap with voice calling capability sounds grotesque, but isn’t fake. Yes, a cap is coming to add itself in the list of smart wearable. Now you will be thinking that how can a cap help in making and receiving calls. To provide such functionality of interacting with your smartphone device, it will connect with your smartphone via Bluetooth. In the new era of technology, people not only want the technology in hand, they want to integrate them in their accessories.

To make this possible, Sydney-based entrepreneur Will Miller has come out with a new technology or you can call a new smart cap. The cap looks like an ordinary baseball cap but not the ordinary one. It comes with Bluetooth feature which gives cap the power of controlling your smartphone with your voice commands.

The Bluetooth enabled baseball cap, dubbed Snaptrax has microphone and speakers which are integrated in cap’s both corners along with Bluetooth module. The wearable has the capability of receiving and making calls. It is also able to respond on received text or emails. With the option of button panel set on the side of the cap is able to control music tracks and adjust volume. It uses Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity.

The Snaptrax is designed to meet with people’s need of "hands free interaction." Though, the wearer is still working on battery and charging capabilities. "We're very aware that everyone has different tastes and comes from different backgrounds." Miller told to Gizmag. They are working on battery capability doesn’t mean that they won’t take care of the comfort. They will develop it with keeping the comfort of the head wear in mind.

The development team is suggesting that it will be weatherproof and will be available in red and black varying color combination. It is expected to come in market next year in January.
