Sony Introduced 4K HDR Projector And Its First UHD Blu-ray Player

Sony is well known for having a very important role in the advancement of technology. It is a techno-loving firm, which has been working for development of technology for a long time. This time, the firm has come up with a new 4K HDR projector by the name of VPL- VW675ES. It is believed to be the first projector that supports Hybrid-Log Gamma HDR. Sony VPL- VW675ES is available priced at USD 14,999 (Rs 10 lakh approx) just to power up its SXRD projector technology.

The 4K projector was first announced at CEDIA 2016. The latest technology fueled projector comes with a contrast ratio of 350,000:1 and a brightness of 1,800 lumens. It bears HDCP 2.2 for prevention of the 4K content being copied illegally. The bulb in the projector is claimed to last for about 6,000 hours. Along with all of these, it becomes the best 4K projector in the world, which is also capable of projecting real ultra-HD images.

Andre Floyd, Sony’s Product Marketing Manager, as per a CEPro report stated, “JVC's and Epson's current line of "4K" projectors can never get to full UHD because they start with an HD imager (1920x1080) that has only 2 million pixels.” The latest projector is also capable of streaming content from Amazon, Netflix and other of other services.

Sony Introduced Its First UHD Blu-ray Player

Apart from this, at CEDIA 2016, the company has also showcased its first Ultra-HD Blu-ray player. Dubbed as UBP- X1000ES comes with a facility of full custom installation (CI) compatibility coupled with a number of ravishing additional features. The Blu-ray player is expected to land in the spring next year.

Along with a UHD video support, the UBP- X1000ES comes blessed with a Sony-developed Precision-HD drive, which helps in maintaining consistent performance with virtually every optical disc format like Blu-ray 3D, DVDs, CDs. The video processing technology used in the player is capable of upscaling the full-HD (1080p) to 4K 60p resolution. The player comes with audio compatible receivers which can match DTS:X and Dolby atmos. The price of this awesome device has not been revealed yet.
