The brand setter, Sony is again setting up the league for the other tech giants by unveiling ever stylish SmartBand 2 which can monitor the Heart Rate and can check the fitness level of a person wearing it. The device is so firm in its rating that the person needs not to consult a doctor if a minor is detected.
The gadget helps in flashing the stress level along with the fitness level. It keeps record of the day to day activities and keeps you updated with the sorts related to the activities one perform. The device monitors the activities and makes a list of the activities that raises the heart rate and stress level and indicates you from performing that. It also marks the heat with the activities consuming low energy and making you fit and keeps you stress free.
Sony claims that the device will automatically inform you about the stressful or relaxing kinda day, even if the person is unaware. Not only this, the SmartBand is also a multi-functioning device which can be integrated with the Android and Apple's platform to indicate the email, text messages and incoming calls notifications via LED and vibrator.
The companies like Fitbit, Jawbone, Misfit and Garmin also feature the same devices to monitor heart rate, to track exercise ans sleep activities and to connect and pair with smart devices. Tech giant Xiaomi has also its $30 Mi band to furnish the same. The Smarwatches such as Apple's Wear and Microsoft Band also garnish the functioning with their devices. But, above all, SmartBand 2 supports both Apple's iOS 8.2 and Google's Android 4.4 software to withstand with an upper edge over all the other mammoths.
Apart from all this, Sony offers an app called Lifelog which is able to feature Android and Xperia smartphones. Iphone users can also install the app on iOS platform. The application helps to monitor the daily record of your activities by keeping the track of the route covered while jogging or walking. The app also acts as the heart rate monitor device, stress level checker and other such factors. The platform offers the facility to signify the time one went weak to perform the activity. It analyses and records the previous data to compare.
The device is ready for market and is expected to go on sale in September across 60 different countries for around €119. A Sony spokeswoman said, "the product will be available at select retailers in the US but the specific timing is not yet available". The device will now be made available in White and Black variants, but soon after the launch its color variants like Pink and Indigo will be available.
