Man fudged Rs.73000 from IIT Professor

A man fudged the retired IIT Delhi professor by introducing him as a member of ESPN Star Cricket promotional board. Police has registered a complaint in the issue of May this year. Professor V.N Arora said in the complaint that he received a mail in the last week of April from Graham Smith. He introduced himself as the representative of ESPN Star Sports promotional board. The mail was about winning of 1 million pounds as an award.

Smith took the address of Arora for sending the winning amount. On 2nd May David hart called the professor and informed him about the gift parcel. He also said about depositing Rs.73000 as custom duty charge in HDFC Bank of Palam area.

After that again he demanded for Rs.3 Lakh as clearance and informed that the winning money has sent to the Reserve bank for clearance. Arora had deposited the earlier amount then after having doubt he lodged a complaint against the person.

After testing in cyber cell the complaint was filed and police is suspecting a gang from Nigeria as they are computer experts and it is the matter of making a fake website and fudging.
