NASA made an Embarrassing Mistake

The American Space Agency (NASA) accepts that it released a picture of an Indian mountain on its website erroneously taking as The Mount Everest. It told at beginning that it is the picture of the world's highest peak of Russian cosmonaut Yuri Mlenchenco the picture.

As soon as NASA released this picture, many of media centers took this image from there, but a specialist in Nepal caught this mistake after which it was removed by NASA. Mount Everest's height is 8848 meter (29028 feet) and this spread on the border of the Nepal and China.

Criticism, An Email was sent to BBC by a NASA's spokesman. In that email, "That is not the picture of Mount Everest; it is the picture of Saser Mujhtag which is in Kashmir's Karakoram Range of India."

NASA says Mlenchenco took this picture from International Space Station (ISS) this month. As soon as NASA released this picture on its website, the matter was discussed on twitter and pictures were shared in plenty as well, but the Nepalese community criticized it a lot.
