2016 Audi Q7 to be Launched in India on December 10

While people were hoping to witness the launch of next Generation Audi Q7 in India from a long time, the launch date finally seems to have been confirmed now. As per the market reports, the model is going to be launched in the country on December 10, 2015. The site named Zauba suggests that it has already been imported probably for homologation. Initially, it will be brought through the CBU route, but from 2016, it the car will be assembled locally in the country.

Discussing the design and appearance, some noteworthy changes will be seen in the exterior and interior portions. Unlike the outgoing version, which is quite aggressive, this one will be a lot more sophisticated and streamlined. The rear will house LED tail lamps and box-shaped exhaust pipes. Moving to the interior, it will receive updates in the form of latest MMI infotainment unit, Audi Sound System, USB ports and Bluetooth connectivity, etc. Besides, a 12.3-inch 1440X540 pixels Audi Virtual Cockpit screen will also be offered as an optional fitment.

The mechanical configuration consists of 3 litre TDI motor that is tuned to generate 183KW of power and 600Nm of peak torque between 1500-3000rpm. This engine is paired with an 8-speed steptronic automatic gearbox that is linked to an AWD setup. The mileage delivered by this arrangement is 17.54 km/l. As per the company's claim, the 2016 Audi Q7 will sprint upto 100km/h in just 6.3 seconds with the top speed reaching upto 234km/h. This Audi SUV will compete with the likes of BMWX5 and Mercedes GL Class.
