2016 Kawasaki Concours 14 ABS Launched at Price Tag of $ 15,499

The Japanese motorcycle manufacturer, Kawasaki launched Versys 650, adventure tourer on 24 December 2015,for the Indian Kawasakilovers, with the advanced features of height adjustable windscreen and reach adjustable handlebars to transform the bike from adventure to sports. And now  automaker launched  the  Concours updated version for the enthusiastic Tourers(Not in India). The update version, 2016 Kawasaki Concours 14 ABS received top-shelf refinement for enhancing the thrilling performance and touring experience.

The Concours 14 ABS is a sport-touring which keeps the soul of a Ninja ZX-14R with complementary advanced technology and premium accessories. The 2016 Concours comes featured with multi-level power modes, GPS receivers and sound system as AM / FM / MP3 / iPod for user convenience.

In terms of powertrain, the sports-tourer has a heart of 1,352cc, liquid-cooled, four-cylinder, 4-stroke and DOHC motor. The motor is tuned with Variable Valve Timing (VVT) to enhance low and mid power range while maintaining high RPM performance to catch up the top speed of 250 KMPH. The mill is mated to a six-speed gearbox to transfer power to the rear wheel.

Suspension set up include an inverted telescopic fork of 43 mm in front and tetra-lever with stepless rebound damping adjustment at rear to absorb the shocks. The braking duties have been performed by 310mm dual floating discs with four piston calipers at the front wheel and 270mm single disc with single piston caliper at the rear wheel. The Kawasaki Advanced Coactive-braking Technology (K-ACT) ABS system is also the part of this braking package.

The sport tourer Concours is available in two shades of Metallic Moondust Gray and Metallic Spark Black at a price tag of $ 15,499 (approx. RS 10.5 lakh). The motorcycle will be slightly higher in price if launched in India. The Japanese giant did not unveil anything about the motorcycle launch in India.
