2016: Time to Upgrade the Suzuki GSX-R1000

Sometimes, change becomes the necessity. The Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer has finally found a way for the survival of the firm's flagship super sports motorcycle. Following the success of the newly launched Suzuki GSX-Series, the firm has decided to upgrade the Suzuki GSX-R1000. Since its inception, it's been 15 long years that the super sports motorcycle hasn't gone through any updates or changes. The super sports motorcycle was introduced in the year 2001. And now, a source has revealed that the firm is working very hard to design the 2016 model of Suzuki GSX-R1000.

The facelift model of the Suzuki GSX-R1000 is supposed to be featuring an in-line four-cylinder configuration carrying the very same engine displacement. The firm could also be offering a road-derivative version of the GSX-RR as an updated model. Along with the upgraded version of the Suzuki GSX-R1000, the firm is also planning to introduce a whole new concept of a liter-class Suzuki Gixxer. The rumored liter-class Gixxer would be derived from the track-version MotoGP prototype. The upcoming liter-class sports motorcycle will directly be rivaling with the all new 2015 Yamaha R1, 2015 BMW S1000RR and the Supercharged Kawasaki Ninja H2.

The firm will be launching the upgraded model of the GSX-R series by the end of this year. And, the 2016 Suzuki GSX-R1000 will be expected to receive a price tag £112,000 approx.
