2017 Chevrolet Essentia Unveiled at Delhi Auto Expo

Finally, the much awaited event 2016 Delhi Auto Expo came in impression with lots of new technology and much required feature, which will be unveiling soon. In the start of this event Chevrolet displayed a new sub compact sedan based on the popular Beat platform, which will be called Essentia. General Motors also revealed the details about this new car and has announced the expected launch date for Indian auto market that will happen in 2017. It will be manufactured at company’s plant in Gujarat.

“GM’s transformation in India is clearly reflected in the development of the Chevrolet Essentia and Chevrolet Beat Activ. We are heading into a new era with new-generation products that will catapult the Chevrolet brand in India, giving consumers vehicles that have never been seen in the market. Our aim is to ensure that our models are more relevant, better connected, more exciting and safer than ever before, for complete customer satisfaction,” said Mr. Kaher Kazem, GM India President and Managing Director.

Compared to the Beat, the new Chevrolet Essentia looks so much similar at the front, but slightly changed from the side profile. Inside the cabin, this new model has been designed with common attachments such as AC controls and unique instrument cluster. It could be also offered with a standard features of the company like upholstery system, 2-DIN system and many other.

Coming to the power house, new Chevrolet Essentia is expected to come with both petrol and diesel engine option. The specification of the petrol motor may be gets 1.2-litre, while the diesel motor could be appeared with 1.0-litre and both may be equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The car is far away from the take place in Indian car place, but it might be fight up against others cars like Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Xcent, Honda Amaze, Volkswagen Ameo, Tata Zest and the Ford Figo Aspire.
