2017 KTM Duke 250 Spotted Testing Ahead of New Dukes Launch on 23rd February

Earlier at the launch event of the 2017 range of KTM RCs, KTM India has officially denied the launch of much-hyped 250cc Duke in the country. But, been captured performing tests in two different forms as a test mule equipped with saree guard and as a full-fledged version, ready to hit the market soon. It is really surprising that the 2017 KTM Duke 250 has encountered just before the scheduled launch of new Duke 390 and Duke 200 on February 23rd this month.

The fitments which have been noticed on the test mule and the production ready model comprises MRF Revz-FC1 and Revz-C1 tyres. Wheres as the global model uses the Metzeler Sportec M5 Interact tyres, in place of mentioned MRF tyres on the India-bound going to launch soon version. Apart from this, the motorcycles were furnished with the same instrument cluster of regular Duke 390’s, yet the most important and advanced safety feature of ABS was missed out on both the prototypes.

2017 KTM Duke 250 Spied

On powering end, the 2017 KTM Duke 250 will draw power from a 248.8cc displacement engine. However, the details regarding powertrain are not confirmed yet, but it is expected to share the same a 248.8cc, single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine of its international specs model. That churns out the maximum power of 31 bhp of power at 9000rpm and a peak torque of 24Nm at 7250 rpm.

The 2017 Duke 250 launch, if takes place, will really be a surprise move from the biking major. It will be tagged with a premium price tag range between INR 1.95Lakh - 2.05lakh on-road, to compete with the street focused motorcycles in this price and power segment like BMW G310R, TVS Akula 310R, CBR 250R, FZ25.
