2017 Range Rover Sport Lineup to House Entry Level 2.0-Litre Diesel Powermill

With second generation Range Rover Sport well under way, the most anticipated luxury SUV carmaker Land Rover is preparing to bring up some new updates for the 2017 model year. Some spy shots of the said unit as well as stories about its updated features have also surfaced online lately.

Over the rumors, the company has now unveiled an entry level diesel engine that will be powered by a 2.0-litre, four cylinder turbo unit. Souced from Jaguar Land Rover “Ingenium” family, it is capable to run the car with a power of 240 Hp and 500 Nm of torque. Moreover, it can accelerate the unit from 0-100 kmph under 8 seconds. Besides, it is also claimed to return a great fuel mileage of 6.2L/100km.

Alongside this new engine, the 2017 sport range will also blessed with a range of safety as well as other technology features. These include Tow Assist, intelligent speed limiter and Blind Spot Assist. Inside the cabin, you will find a new InControl Touch Pro infotainment system with larger 10-inch touchscreen display against the previous 8-inch display. Furthermore, the system also enables the owners to get live data updates and install apps directly without using smartphone.
