As 2018 Mercedes CLS is decided to get revealed at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the spied images of the Porsche Panamera competitor Mercedes CLA is available online.

The latest Mercedes CLS takes sharper designing like E-class cars and is longer, taller and wider than the current CLS model, which measures 4,940mm in length, 1,420mm in height, and 1,880mm in width. The wheelbase of the Mercedes CLS is longer comparing the outgoing model by 61mm at 4,988mm.

The frameless door design like the previous with rubber sealing enclosing the windows will render better aerodynamics compared to the previous model.

The interior is updated version of the E-class dashboard which will certainly help in component sourcing, production costs, and brand lower cost development. The dashboard gets the Widescreen Cockpit along with two 12.3-inch screen displays for the infotainment system and instrument cluster.

Other additives include the turbine-like AC vents, the multifunction steering wheel, temperature dependent blue or red glowing vent, a three-across bench, center seat positioning, and enhanced Boot space.

The Mercedes CLS is possibly powered by a range of four and six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, which will be mated to a nine-speed automatic gearbox as standard. Lower-spec models will get rear-wheel-driven and higher spec ones will take 4Matic four-wheel drive system. The entry-level CLS 350 takes the new M264 petrol engine producing 300hp of power and 400Nm of torque whereas the CLS 450 takes Mercedes-Benz’s new M256 turbocharged and electronically supercharged 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder petrol engine which produces 367hp of power and 500Nm of torque.
