I guess, everybody still does remember the spectacular feats of the DB10 which were filmed in the famous Bond Series movie, Spectre. It was 4.7-litre V8 engine, which made the car perform all those stunts. But now, Aston Martin has started the production of an all-new 5.2L twin turbo V12 engine to create some new impact over the audience. The production will be done at the Aston Martin Engine Plant (AMEP) in Cologne, Germany.
Brian Fitzsimons, Aston Martin Chief Engineer, Powertrain, stated, "To see this new engine go into full production at AMEP makes me very proud. Designing and developing the 5.2L twin-turbo power plant has been an all-consuming passion for me and my team. Knowing that the end result would be built with meticulous care in a truly state-of-the-art facility such as AMEP was an added motivation. It's a hugely exciting time to be an engineer at Aston Martin, not least because this is just the beginning for the new twin-turbo V12."

Talking about the powertrain, the DB11's V12 engine will push the car with a maximum power of 600 Bhp along with a tempting torque of 700 Nm. By having this energy, the car will do 0-100 Km/h run in 3.9 seconds and a top-speed of 322 Km/h. Anyway, the company has already given the green signal to make celebration of DB11's world premiere at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed that is starting from 23rd of June and will continue until June 26th.
Lets make a little discussion about the Aston Martin Engine Plant as well as the production of the new engine. Laying its foundation in the year 2004, the AMEP is dedicated merely for the output of Aston Martin power plants. It is the same design house which has introduced the 6.0L V12 and 4.7L V8 engines that will also continue to be designed at AMEP.
