Bajaj Auto India Receives Hike of 2 Percent in April Sales

India's second largest two wheeler maker, Bajaj Auto announced on monday the April 2016 sales report of the company, which registered an increase of two per cent as the firm manages to sold 291,898 motorcycles in April 2016 relatively to the same month of last year, where it marked the 285,791 units on the board.

The recent offering in the 150cc segment from the Bajaj, the V15 is a cafe racer styled commuter which helps in the growth of sales as automaker records 16,530 units sold of Vikrant 15. Expectedly doing well, the V15 helps the firm to increase its market share by 13 percent. And to deliver the hiked demand of the motorcycle, the giant ramped up the production of the motorcycle. Furthermore, the new Discover 125 is also doing well and continue to sell over 12,000 units every month with subtle growth.

While the sales figure of another offering, Bajaj Discover 150F is really disappointing as it marked only 13 units sold in last month and continuous downfall in Discover 150F sales will turn the manufacturer to discontinue the bike from the Indian market.

In terms of Bajaj Auto's exports sales figure in the two wheelers, the company faced the reduction of 36 per cent with 1,03,976 units in comparison to the 1,61,598 units in the same month a year ago.
