Bajaj Dominar 400 is Best Global Product at Such Price: Rajiv Bajaj

At the launch event of the recently rolled out Bajaj Dominar 400, the first ever produced most powerful motorcycle from the Bajaj house. As we all aware and confirmed that the Dominar will be a sports cruiser and available gentry there were also calling it the same. But the Managing Director, Bajaj Auto, Rajiv Bajaj doesn’t want to describe it as a sports cruiser.

He went keep on saying it a big motorcycle, which is brisk and furnished with all the essential top shelf components of the technological world. He further added, "nowhere in this world does a brand offer so much motorcycle for this amount of money."

Rajiv Bajaj’s stated quote at the conference, “I don’t know if it is a sports cruiser. Different people see different images. I think we have made something which really prescribes to the best of both worlds together. Makes two plus two greater than four.”

Powered by a powertrain sourced from the KTM Duke 390, a 373.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid cooled DTS-i engine, which is tuned to follow Euro-IV emission norms and made it compatible for this specific segment for hassle free performance ride. It exhales 34.5bhp of power at 8000 rpm and 35Nm of torque at 8500 rpm, through the mated a six-speed transmission with slipper clutch for feather smooth transmission. As per the Bajaj, the Dominar 400 can reach up to the 100km/h from its standstill position just in 8.23 seconds and can catch up the top speed of 148 mph. Moreover, it can perform at any place and in any conditions as from the sea level to the peak height of 18,380 feet.

The Bajaj Dominar 400 is priced to retail at INR 1.36 lakhs for the non-ABS version, whereas the ABS trim, which offers dual channel ABS system gets the price tag of INR 1.5 lakhs.
