Bajaj Dominar 400 Official Launch Confirmed on December 15

Finally, after a long wait of two years since its unveil at the Auto Expo 2014 as the Pulsar CS400 concept, the launch of the Bajaj’s flagship motorcycle, the Dominar 400 is officially confirmed on coming 15 December. The best mix of sporty stance and cruiser ergonomics, the Pulsar Cruiser Sport 400 (CS400) concept is going to come in reality with the Dominar badge. The brand name has been chosen after using several speculated monikers for this 400cc motorcycle, such as the Vantage Sport 400( VS 400), Kratos 400 and Dominar 400.

Aimed to target potential buyers who want to opt power with touring comfort, the Bajaj Dominar 400 has gone on assembly line earlier on November 18. Interestingly, the production responsibility is under the supervision of women engineers working at the Bajaj’s Chakan based facility.

If talks about the upcoming cruiser sport’s name, the Dominar, is derived from Spanish and it means “ to excel and exceed in power”. As the reports suggest, the motorcycle will also be powered by the similar sort of single cylinder, liquid-cooled petrol engine, displaced with the 375cc. The motor is likely to be inspired from the KTM 390 engine, which will be tuned to comply Euro IV emission norms and necessary power output. However, the official power figures have not revealed yet, Hence it will churn around 36 bhp from the mated 6-speed transmission.

On suspension end, the telescopic forks upfront and a rear mono shock will perform the damping duties, Whereas the exercised disc brakes and ABS setup will look after the braking duties.
