Bajaj Pulsar 200AS: The Next Big Thing for India, Spied Testing

Taking inspiration from the firm's flagship sports motorcycle, Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS, here comes the next big thing for Indian motorcycle aficionados. The rumored sports motorcycle has finally come to reality; the upcoming adventure sports motorcycle spied testing over Indian ground, for the first time. The manufacturer has christened it as Bajaj Pulsar 200 AS, where AS stands for Adventure Sports. Although, this is not the first time we've got to feast our eyes over the upcoming motorcycle, but as it is caught testing in India, it clearly vindicates the landing of the Bajaj Pulsar 200 AS over the Indian ground. Well, as of now, we'll leave the introduction of the adventure sports motorcycle to the Bajaj Auto Ltd., as the firm has given its prime concern to the Pulsar 200SS for this calendar year.

The Bajaj Pulsar 200AS will be receiving the very same mechanism, which was being used in the Pulsar 200NS. It will be expected to feature a SOHC, 4-stroke and single-cylinder motor configuration carrying an engine displacement of 199.5cc. The liquid-cooled engine transfers the power to the rear wheel via a 6-speed transmission. The 199.5cc displaced engine is tuned to generate a maximum power of 24.5BHP and achieves a peak torque of 18 Nm. As, this is an adventure sports motorcycle, the firm might be using different suspensions in order to meet the requirement of the motorcycle.

The test mule was showed up with a single projector light for the high beam purpose and standard halogen for low beam. Being an adventure sports motorcycle, the firm has introduced a big windscreen and a little bit of front fairing. It is not completely a naked beast, we can say it a semi-faired adventure-sports motorcycle.
