BMW Motorrad Filed Patent for the C 400X Concept Scooter

The German motorcycle manufacturer has filed the application for the patent of production ready the C 400 X concept scooter. In Europe, where the segment serves a wider range of audience will sport the bike maker in registering its entry. Whereas, in the market like India, as of now, its introduction would definitely not be favourable for the BMW Motorrad.

In the automotive market, the scooter is likely to be entitled to the name the C 400 GT or C 400 Sport as it will follow the brand’s nomenclature strategy. For the first time, the C 400 X concept was showcased in front of the audience at the 2017 EICMA show in Milan. The scooter features futuristic design language with edgy lines. However, to get into the production version, the scooter went through some cuts and trim. Furthermore, the scooter boasts of a taller windscreen, spacious floorboards, pillion backrest, semi-digital instrument cluster.

For the propelling power, the C 400 is packed with a 350cc engine that is rated to develop 34 horsepower. Whereas, to absorb shocks, the telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock are equipped with the suspension setup. Whereas for braking there are dual discs up front and a single disc in the rear.

Later this year, the C 400 X is expected to unveil once again at the EICMA Show. for a reminisce, the brakes on the C 400 X were sourced from ByBre, that has a manufacturing unit in India. Its Indian emergence is not plausible anytime soon.
