Bookings For Isuzu D-MAX V-Cross Commences in India

Isuzu Motor India is all set to launch the powerful D-MAX V-Cross soon in India by June this year. The pick-up is going through 70 percent localisation at the domestic manufacturing plant located in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. Some reports from the authorised Isuzu dealerships based out in Mumbai reveal that the V-Cross will be available at a starting price of Rs 12.51 lakh (ex-showroom). The authorised dealerships have already started accepting bookings for Rs 50,000.

The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross is based on the carmaker’s all-new Gravity Response Intelligent Platform (GRIP), which ensures better road handling characteristics. The SUV offers an aerodynamic body design. The front fascia gets a wide chrome grille followed by twin-barrel headlights. The sides also consist of the rugged designed fog lamps along the bumper. The flared wheel arches give the vehicle aggressive look. It is made to accommodate five passengers and offers a spacious deck at the rear.

The interior comes loaded with an array of features such as power windows, 6-way adjustable driver seat, central locking, tilt-adjustable steering wheel, and 60:40 folding rear seat. The dashboard also receives a touchscreen infotainment system in the centre. Additionally, it gets climate control, audio controls on steering wheel, adjustable OVRMs, and a shift-on-fly 4WD knob. It comes with great safety features like dual front airbags, ABS, pedestrian friendly front-end and EBD with brake assist.

Powering the Isuzu D-MAX V-Cross is a 2.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine that effectively delivers a maximum power of 138PS at 3600 rpm and a peak torque of 320Nm. The engine will be paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox.

Post launch, the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross will be seen competing against some prominent models like Mahindra Scorpio Getaway and Tata Xenon in the pickup SUV segment.
